My name is Taryn. I have been licensed as an Esthetician for more than twenty years. I believe beauty is natural, yet specific, to each of us. I have always enjoyed all facets of skincare. Initially it was a hobby that I did only for myself, family and friends. Later I expanded and enjoyed doing this for other’s. Toward the end of my initial training, my instructor and I did eyebrows on a person with alopecia who had no eyebrows. The results were very good. The client was overwhelmed with tears of joy from having eyebrows. That experience was the birth of my passion for doing permanent makeup.

Both are considered semi-permanent cosmetic makeup procedures or pmu. Both are the process of implanting semi-permanent pigment into the upper layers of the epidermis or skin. With experience, both can be used to create beautiful hairstrokes and/or shading. Microblading is done mostly using a manual tool and blade(s) that slice into the skin. Nanobrows uses a needle machine to deposit defined droplets, which is much less trauma to the skin.
The first pass may be a little uncomfortable, but not necessarily painful. Consider, each person has a different tolerance level. Numbing is used to make this a pleasant experience.
Depending on factors such as avoiding lengthy sun exposure and avoiding skin lighteners, it can last on average 1.5 – 3 years or more.
Pre-Treatment care is important and will be provided. Also, an experienced technician with understanding of needle depth/radius, pigment composition and skin knowledge is critical.
Downtime is minimal, if any. Immediately following the procedure there may be slight swelling and redness/tenderness to the area. Most people return to normal activity right away other than the exception of keeping the area clean and dry. On average, the entire healing process lasts 7-10 days. Specific aftercare instructions are provided at the end of the procedure.
